The excitement behind the release of the Disney+ shows quickly faded when people began to wonder to what extent they would play a part in the MCU. If you don’t already have Disney+, were you going to need to subscribe to it or mooch off of a friend to stay caught up? How important were these shows really going to be? And now that WandaVision is out and finished, for those who haven’t watched it, do you need to go binge it all?

The answer is yes, although, those who don’t watch it will still be able to follow new movies, just not to the deepest and most in-depth way that they might if they saw the shows.

Since two more shows are going to be coming out before we get any real content (sorry guys, Black Widow is just a step backwards in the timeline and will likely only effect Phase 4 because of characters and end credit scenes), it is important to understand that watching them will be critical in following some of the big blockbusters that are coming this year and into next year. But if reading this is not convincing enough, I did you all a great favor and created a video in which I explain all the reasons you need to watch these shows.

In it, I explain what our lord and savior, Kevin Feige, has said on the situation, what the shows add to the MCU, and where, especially WandaVision, fits into it all. Not to mention, an added bonus is that these shows are just really good and they contain characters we already know and adore. So go ahead and watch this video if you are still a little unsure about committing to that Disney+ subscription or just not sure if you want to spend the time watching these shows. If you have friends who have also chosen not to watch the shows, share it with them to get them on board as well. As someone who has watched WandaVision, it is a great watch in general, but there are certain things that will be important for later on that you need to have knowledge of. I am also including the link to an article that discusses what Kevin Feige said a little more in depth, if you would like to hear it directly from the head of Marvel himself.
